In the event of breakage of the sailboat during the rental, the customer must immediately inform our sales department or the Mariner’s Office and provide them with all the details concerning the incident, including photos or videos if possible. In the event of a collision with another vessel, the customer must establish and provide us as soon as possible with a detailed sea report signed by both parties, any testimonies, the registration certificate and the insurance certificate of the opposing boat. , a copy of the other captain’s identity document, as well as his full contact details.

Star Voyage Antilles staff will give you instructions to follow for the end of your cruise. Our technical department will then examine the nature and extent of the damage and determine whether there are additional costs to be charged to the customer.

If the breakage is due to negligence or an error on the part of the customer, the repairs and the corresponding costs will be the responsibility of the latter. If the breakage is due to a technical or mechanical failure of the boat, Star Voyage Antilles will take care of the necessary repairs.

In all cases, it is strongly recommended to take out insurance to cover possible damage caused to the sailboat during the rental. The customer may also be held responsible for loss of use of the boat if the damage prevents the charter company from re-renting it immediately.

Finally, in the event of a dispute over liability or the amount of repair costs, the parties may resort to a dispute resolution procedure in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental.
